Khalifa Port and Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi, UAE- Integrated Building Management System
Khalifa Port and Industrial Zone (KPIZ) is a multi-purpose facility that involves the construction of a world-scale container and industrial port in addition to the development of over 100 square kilometers of industrial, logistics, commercial, educational, and residential special economic and free zones.
Green Optima carried out the optimization of building and energy management using Tridium’s Niagara Framework and Priva BMS, controlling the AED 320 million for package 208 and AED 410 million for package 209, and MEP works for the Khalifa Port and Industrial Zone (KPIZ) in Abu Dhabi.
Green Optima designed, engineered, supplied & commissioned an open building automation system, leveraging leading edge internet technology which is energy efficient and easily expandable, supporting future developments.
Park Place Tower, Dubai, UAE- Integrated Building Management System
Park Place is 56-floor mixed-use tower on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, UAE. The tower has a total structural height of 234.1 m (768 ft), making it the 47th tallest building in Dubai. The initial BMS, from Honeywell, was becoming old and obsolete, replacement controllers being difficult to source while service charges were considerably increasing.
The facility had HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and ELV systems connected to the BMS. The client’ s focus was to find an open platform for the BMS that can be operated and maintained at a low operating cost, and to connect all the existing room controllers for VAVs and FCUs and integrate them into the new BMS.
Green Optima replaced the existing DDC’s with Tridium JACE and Edge 10 Controllers and IO modules, thus unlocking the system and providing the client with an open framework protocol. We delivered a cost-cutting and energy efficient solution, by ensuring a completely open protocol platform and by being able to reuse existing DDC Panels, field devices, and wiring.

With this design, the operations team would be able to oversee, control and gain insight from many more data points, while still having only one operating system to learn.

Saba Towers were provided with a completely open and refreshed BMS, with low operating and maintenance costs, after Niagara retrofit.

This was a Shared Savings Energy Performance project where energy efficiency measures have been identified with an initial estimation of over 20% of energy & water savings projected.

This was a Finance Shared Savings project where Green Optima worked to retrofit and implement energy-saving measures.
We provided solutions for implementing DDC with Tridium JACE Controllers and IO Modules for the existing Chilled Water Plant equipments and implemented metering systems.
Integration of the warehouse on Taka Command Control Center was completed with Niagara Protocol (fox) connectivity.
